Mani Ratnam’s Guru Dialogs

Last Friday i saw Guru in my local cineplex, i had no words to speak about the film expect one “Just go ahead and watch it”.
This film is powered by A.R Rahman’s Music, Mani Ratnam’s Creativity and Abhishek Bachan’s Performance. All the three powers blended and mixed together actually.The highlights of the film are Abhishek @ Gurubhai ka Dialogs.. Each and every word is dashing and cool. Even inspirational,i don’t have doubt in it.

I Collected some of Guru (Abhishek Bachan) Dialogs which i hope you will surely like.

What’s wrong in dreaming big?
[When asked by the Judges why he’s not able to talk the previous day and today want to talk]
Yesterday you were saying about my crimes, today I want the Public know about them from my mouth
[When asked by the Judges how came he can speak now, in whole trial he was not able to talk loudly and whispers in his Wife’s ears]
I’m a Poor Merchant. My voice is my money and I wanted to save them.
[When asked by the Judges why he was breaking the law]
Fifty years before there is one man who broke every law and you still call him the Mahatma. Only when Rules are broken you will ever be able to do Revolutions. I learned that somebody wants beating while other wants money. I given beating to those who needed it and money to those who expected it. That’s all
[After the Speech in Trial]See? You’ve given me 5 minutes time. I’ve finished my speech within 4 and half minutes. Half minute is my Profit. This is my Business.
And also he helped me to translate the dialogs in Tamil too:
“எங்க கிராமத்துல ஒன்னு சொல்லுவாங்க, யாராச்சும் உன்னைக் குத்தம் சொன்னா நீ நல்லது பண்ணிக்கிட்டிருக்கன்னு தெரிஞ்சுக்க”

“எனக்குத் தெரிஞ்சதெல்லாம் ஒன்னுதான், என்னை மாதிரி இங்கே இருப்பது ஒருத்தன்தான், அது குருதான்.”
“நீ கனவு காணலன்னா கிராமத்திலேயே வாழ்க்கை முழுசும் முடங்கிக்கிடக்கவேண்டியதுதான்”
(விசாரணையில்) “நான் மக்களைப் பார்த்து பயப்படவேண்டியதில்லை நான்தான் மக்கள்”
“நான் நடக்க விரும்பல, ஓட விரும்பறேன்”
“பெரிசா கனவு கான்றதுல என்ன தப்பு?”
(விசாரணையில் நேற்று பேசாமல் இன்று ஏன் பேச முயற்சி செய்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டதற்கு) “நேத்து என்னோடு தப்புக்களைப் பற்றி நீங்க மட்டும்தான் பேசினீங்க. அது தப்பா இல்லையான்னு இன்னைக்கு நான் மக்களிடம் பேசனும்.”
(இதுவரை விசாரணையில் சத்தமாக பேச இயலாமல் தன்னுடைய மனைவியின் காதில் மெதுவாக சொல்லியே பேசியவருக்கு இன்று மட்டும் எப்படி பேசும் சக்தி வந்தது என்று கேட்டதற்கு) “நான் ஏழை வியாபாரிங்க, என்னுடைய குரல்தான் என்னுடைய சொத்து. அதை நான் சேமிக்க வேணாமா?”
(ஏன் நிறைய சட்டங்களை மீறினீர்கள் என்று கேட்டதற்கு) “ஐம்பது வருஷத்துக்கு முன்னாடி இருந்த ஒருத்தர் எல்லா சட்டங்களையும் உடைத்தார் அவரை இன்னிக்கும் மகாத்மான்னு சொல்றீங்க. சட்டங்களை உடைக்காமல் புரட்சிகள் செய்ய முடியாது. என்னிடம் சிலர் மிதித்தால்தான் வேலையாகும் என்றனர் சிலர் பணம் கொடுத்தால்தான் வேலையாகும் என்றனர். எங்கே உதைக்கனுமோ அங்கே உதைச்சேன் எங்கே பணம் கொடுக்கணுமோ அங்கே பணத்தாலடிச்சேன். இது தப்பா?”
(விசாரணையில் பேசி முடித்தபிறகு) “பார்த்தீங்களா? அஞ்சுநிமிஷம் பேச அனுமதி கொடுத்தீங்க நான் நாலரை நிமிஷத்துல பேசிமுடிச்சிட்டேன். அரை நிமிஷம் லாபம். இதுதான் என்னுடைய தொழில்.”

Really good movie. I enjoyed it very much.

There was one more dialog that moved me… when Guru was in Turkey…. It was something like… You think I am good, that white guy also thinks the same, then why should I work for this white guy, I should work for myself
