@ 26. PRASANNA KUMAR

Step 1:
IP address as 192.168.1.2 will not work on some of the routers that have USB connectivity in addition to ethernet.
Use something like 192.168.1.20 for better compatibility.

Step 2:
The DMZ is to be used only for web servers and stuff. It completely overrides any security that NAT provides.

Step 3:
Same as above. Allowing incoming connections to port 8080 directly is a bad idea.

Step 4:
Setting 2000 max connections per torrent will increase overhead considerably and thus decrease speed. Use the calculator:

actually there wont be any difference in browsing but to confirm that you have upgraded try downloading a file more than 90mb and check the download time... it will reliably be faster..

you don't have to change u r adsl modem in this case.. if you cannot experience the download speed change then its due that your location koramangala in bangalore will be updated soon...

Guys,

I stay in Koramangala, tel 25527936, bandwidth has not upgraded from 256Kbps to 2Mbps. I have D-Link GLB-502T with Netgear. Is someone getting 2Mbps from koramangala exchange? Also, do I need to change some setting on ADSL modem?
